Bees and Such

Come learn about the importance of honeybees this August 14 at Scenic Vista Park. Head beekeeper, Susan Nutter of Bees and Trees of Locust Lake Farm, LLC, will give an informational presentation beginning  at 11:00 a.m. on all things honey bees, and then answer any questions  attendees might have about keeping bees, planting trees and flowers for  bees, etc. Nutter has been a beekeeper for 12-plus years and currently  maintains 50-plus hives in her apiary.

Bees and Trees will also have items for purchase during this event including honey, maple syrup, creamed honey, honey suckers and honey straws among other items. All proceeds raised go back to supporting the bees at Bees and Trees.
